About us
Xepep didn’t start out as a catering company. It started out as a village shop. That’s where the name, the stews and the way we work come from: traditional produce, cooked every day and in quantity.
Since 1960

Pepe and Antonia open Alimentación Virgen de las Nieves, the town’s grocery shop.

The parents take over and turn it into the town’s go-to delicatessen and grocer’s, with cured meats and preserves.
It expands, adding a supermarket sales floor.
A fire at the shop changes everything. José Galipienso leaves his job and joins the family business.

The parents retire and José takes charge. The family business makes the leap from selling produce to cooking it: the Xepep kitchen is born.
Our dishes start selling online too.

Catering and events across the province, a daily service for centres and companies, and the same takeaway cooking as always.
Where the name comes from
The name comes from grandfather Pepe and the Valencian “xe”, which around here works for almost anything: to say hello, to show surprise and to call someone to the table.

Our kitchen
Everything comes out of our kitchen in Aspe: 250 square metres, with a convection oven and a tilting bratt pan. That’s where the shop’s dishes of the day, the centres’ meals and the fiesta rice dishes come from.
Having our own kitchen is what lets us cook for five hundred and still cook the way we would at home.

Who cooks
José Galipienso is at the helm, the third generation of the family in the business. Alongside him, a kitchen and front-of-house team that grows with every event.
