Aspe and the Vinalopó

Catering in Aspe and the Vinalopó

Xepep is on Calle Virgen de las Nieves, in Aspe. We’re not a company driving up from the coast on the day of the event: we’re the same family that’s been feeding this town since 1960, when our grandparents, Pepe and Antonia, opened Alimentación Virgen de las Nieves.

For a caterer, that isn’t nostalgia. It means we know the function rooms around here and the way into every finca, and if the ice runs out at two in the afternoon, someone pops out for more and is back in ten minutes.

Fiestas

There’s something to celebrate all year round

The Vinalopó doesn’t have a fiesta season: it has a calendar that never stops.

On top of that come spring First Communions, christenings, December company lunches and the family celebrations at home that never make it onto any calendar.

That’s why a comparsa (troupe) from Elda and a committee from Monforte don’t land on us at the same time of year, and we can throw ourselves into both.

Services

What we do in the area

Local fiestas.
We set up and run the bar in a marquee, with QR ordering so the committee knows at any moment what’s been served and what’s been charged. It’s what makes a fiesta bar add up at the end of the week.
Paella and rice cooked live.
For 40 or for 500 guests in a single service. It’s our speciality.
First Communions, christenings and family celebrations.
From informal catering with disposable tableware for small groups to the full service, with tables set up, glassware, linen and waiting staff.
Company lunches and events.
Presentations, anniversaries, coffee breaks and team lunches for companies in the area and in the industrial estates of Elda, Petrer and Novelda.
Cooking at your venue.
If you already have the space, the set-up and the service, and you only need someone to cook well: we come with the chef and the ingredients, and we take care of just that.

Towns

The whole area

We work in Aspe, Novelda, Monforte del Cid, Elda, Petrer, Monóvar, Pinoso, La Romana, Algueña, Hondón de las Nieves, Hondón de los Frailes and Salinas, and we head up to the Alto Vinalopó – Villena, Sax, Biar – when the event calls for it.

If your town isn’t on that list but it’s nearby, ask anyway. The answer’s almost always yes.

About us

Why choose a local caterer

A caterer from further afield charges for travel. We don’t, because we’re already here.

But what really makes the difference is something else: when your supplier lives in the same town, they answer for their work. There’s no switchboard number and no sales rep who vanishes once you’ve signed. There’s a family with a kitchen and a surname on the line at every service.

That’s why our Google reviews say what they say: 4.7 out of 5, from 76 reviews.

How to get a quote

Tell us what kind of event it is, which day, how many of you there are, where, and what type of service you want. With that, we can give you a guide price without you having to call three times.

And if you’d rather talk it through, our phone number and WhatsApp are at the top of the page.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum number of guests?

For an event service with set-up we work from 40 guests. Below that, we can sort you out with prepared food to collect from our kitchen.

How many guests can you cover in the local area?

We have the equipment to serve rice to 500 guests at a single event. Above that we look at it case by case, but you need to tell us well in advance.

How far in advance do we need to book in Aspe and the Vinalopó?

For local patron saint fiestas and big dates in the area, as early as you can: those weeks fill up months ahead. The rest of the year, two or three weeks is usually enough.

Do you work outside the local area?

Yes. We cover the whole province of Alicante and we also travel to Valencia, Murcia and Albacete.

Can you set up the bar for the fiestas?

Yes, with a marquee and QR ordering to keep track of everything served.
