Catering in Alicante: paellas and events

If you’re looking for catering in Alicante for a group meal, a barraca or a family celebration, our speciality at Xepep is paella and rice dishes cooked on site. We have the kit for 40 or for 500 guests, and different service formats depending on what you need.

We set off from our kitchen in Aspe, about 25 km from Alicante. From there, we travel into the city and out to the surrounding towns to cook, set up a bar in a marquee or put on a company lunch.

Fiestas

Celebrations all year round

In Alicante, June moves mealtimes into the barracas and racós (fiesta marquees). In the nearby towns, the comparsas (troupes) have their own dates. This calendar is a rough guide for your enquiry; each fiesta’s programme sets the exact days and times.

If you’re organising meals for a committee or comparsa, tell us how many days the service lasts and whether you need just the kitchen or a bar as well. The rest of the year, we cook for First Communions, birthdays and team lunches.

Just the rice. We bring the paella pans, the ingredients and the cook. You provide the venue and the tables.

Rice and service. We cook, plate and serve, with disposable tableware or with crockery.

The whole meal. Appetisers, rice, dessert and drinks, with set-up, staff and clear-away.

When you ask for a quote, tell us what you already have and what you need us to bring. If we’re cooking outdoors, tell us how much space there is, what the plan B is if it rains and whether cooking is allowed there. The set-up and the scope of the service are agreed in the proposal.

Organisation

How the service is organised in Alicante

We leave our kitchen in Aspe (about 25 km away) with the cooking team. We agree arrival time, unloading area and plating point. Waiters and tableware are quoted separately by format.

If you’re after a single paella pan as the centrepiece of the party, see our giant paella for fiestas and events. Live rice show cooking is on paellas and show cooking in Alicante.

You also have our catering for local fiestas, corporate events and communions and celebrations.

About us

Why Xepep

Everything starts in our own kitchen in Aspe, and the rice can be finished in front of your guests. That’s how we work: family cooking, paellas for groups and a proposal that separates food, set-up and service.

Your event

How to get a quote

Tell us what you’re celebrating, the date, how many of you there are, where, and the type of service. Add whether you need set-up and staff, and any allergies or diets we should bear in mind.

For a Hogueras barraca, we also need to know which days you’re open and the times for meals and the bar.

If you’d prefer to talk it through, you’ll find the events phone number and WhatsApp in the header.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does paella catering in Alicante cost?

The quote depends on the number of guests, the menu, the location and the set-up and service you ask for. Tell us those details and we’ll put a proposal together; waiting staff and tableware are listed according to the format.

What is the minimum, and how many guests can you cater for?

Set-up events start at 40 guests, and our kit can serve rice to as many as 500 at one event. For smaller groups, ask about prepared food to collect in Aspe.

Can you set up a bar for a Hogueras barraca?

Yes. We set up and run a bar in a marquee, with QR ordering so you always know what’s been served. Tell us the days, the location and whether you also need a kitchen.

Can we hire just the paella cook and the rice?

Yes. We turn up with the paella pans, the ingredients and a cook, and you take care of the venue and tables. You can also ask for rice with plating and service, or a full meal with set-up and staff.

What should we tell you if there are allergies or the event is outdoors?

Tell us about any allergies and diets when you ask for a quote. If the event is outdoors, tell us the space available, the plan if it rains and whether you have permission to cook there. These things need settling before we confirm the service.
