Planning meals in a Hogueras barraca
Plan meals in a Hogueras barraca: daily guest counts, deliveries, cooking space, permits and coordination with the committee.

Hogueras and barracas
Between events, visits and preparations, you still need to sit down and eat. We organise the lunches, dinners and bar for your committee, so your racó or barraca (fiesta marquee) has its kitchen ready.
The Hogueras de Alicante (Bonfires of San Juan) are held from 20 to 24 June. We organise the meals around your committee’s events and preparations.
You can count on us for a single day or for several. The programme helps us prepare the almuerzo (mid-morning snack), lunch and dinner at the times you need.
Ask about availability as soon as you start firming up your dates. We’ll go over the serving days and how much prep time the kitchen needs.

Tapas, bocadillos (filled rolls), griddled dishes, rice dishes and almuerzos are all options for shaping the menu. We choose with your committee what suits each moment.
Inside the marquee, we set up a kitchen and bar, with QR ordering to log every order. We agree who coordinates the service and how to check what’s been ordered.
The committee’s tables can have a different service from the bar. We settle the staff, tableware and timings for each part.

The cooking and plating are organised so the dishes go out at mealtime. In our gallery, you can see the cooking and service at the Hogueras.
Send us details of the access to the marquee, the space for cooking and the equipment available. With that, we plan the unloading and the set-up.
We also need your barraca’s programme and someone to coordinate the tables. That way we fit the committee’s meals around what’s happening at the bar.
Yes. Tell us the night, the number of guests and where you’ll be sitting. We can cater that dinner on its own or include it in a programme covering several days.
Share the times your committee sets off and returns. We agree when each meal is served and whether it makes sense to split the guests into sittings.
The location, the unloading access, the cooking area and the hook-ups available. Also tell us which tables and equipment the organisers provide so we can plan the set-up.
Yes. We work from a day-by-day programme that sets out the dishes, serving times and expected numbers. Your committee can add the bar to the booking.
Orders are logged by handheld device and QR code. Your committee can see the summary, and we agree how it’s used with whoever runs the bar.
You can suggest tapas, bocadillos, griddled dishes, rice dishes and almuerzos. We work out the mix with you, depending on the timings and the kitchen available.
Browse the dishes and kitchen at the Hogueras.
We also organise meals for local fiestas and services for comparsas and filaes (fiesta troupes).
Tell us which days you’ll be open and how many tables the committee will be looking after. We’ll prepare the menu and the service around your programme.

The foguera (hoguera) is the ephemeral monument each Alicante district puts up in June and burns on the night of the 24th; the word also means its committee.
FestivalsThe barraca is the enclosure a barraca committee sets up in the street during the Hogueras of Alicante; the racó is a foguera committee’s clubhouse.
